Get Certified!

There are two certifications available to the Chimney Professional. You can achieve the designation of Certified Chimney Professional™ and/or the Certified Chimney Reliner™. Both Certifications require a knowledge of the field of study which can be achieved by experience, a study of the Manual for each course and (for the Certified Chimney Professional™) a study of the NFPA 211, 2010 edition.

Here is the process: (It works the same for either Certification)

  1. Create your personal profile. (Note, you will need to upload a photo as part of this process for your Certification Badge and Certificate later.)
  2. Order the Manual and study. Please print out these directions for ordering, and follow step by step. Also: Order the NFPA 211 also if you are certifying for the Certified Chimney Professional™ designation. Our manual is available for immediate download and will also be available for you online after purchase. For the Certified Chimney Reliner™ certification you only need our Reliner Manual.

  3. Take the Online test – For the Certified Chimney Professional: The test is 100 true/false and multiple choice questions. You need a 70% to pass. Most can finish the test in an hour.

    You will need another person present to proctor your test and sign in and out as part of the test taking process.

  4. The test will grade automatically and should you pass, you will receive a certificate right then and there which you can download and print. You will also be receiving by a separate mailing a badge, logo clipart and other information.
  5. If you do not pass the first time, you can take the test as often as you need at a greatly reduced cost.
